The par 70, 6,184 yard golf course, enjoying stunning views over the sea, is not actually a links, but an 18-hole parkland course on undulating ground at the eastern edge of Cosmeston Lakes Country Park. With narrow wood-lined fairways, well-guarded greens, water hazards and over eighty strategic bunkers, it offers a stern but fair test to golfers at all levels.
The town of Penarth lies on the north shore of the Severn Estuary on Cardiff Bay, just 5 miles (9 kms) from the Welsh capital city of Cardiff. Only 25 miles (40 kms) away by motorway is The Celtic Manor Resort, in the Usk Valley, near Newport, the venue for the 2010 Ryder Cup match.
